Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Reykjavik
Start your trip by arriving in Iceland’s capital city, Reykjavik. Transfer to Hotel. Day At Lesiure. Spend the day exploring the city’s colorful buildings, unique architecture, and museums. Don’t miss Hallgrimskirkja, the largest church in Iceland, and the Harpa Concert Hall.
Overnight at Hotel in Reykjavik

Day 2: Reykjavik – Selfoss-Hrútafjörður
After breakfast, we transfer you to Selfoss and pick up your machines. Rider setup is done for a more comfortable journey as per height and weight of passengers. The first day you ride from Selfoss village, past Þingvellir National Park, where the oldest continually running parliament in the world first assembled in 930 AD. From there this ride will take you to a mountain road along the glacier Langjökull to Húsafell, through a unique mountains we call Arnarvatnsheiði to the north where we will stay the fist night on our journey.

Day 3 Hrútafjörður-Djúpavík
On day two we will arrived in the northern part of the Westfjords an area called Strandir. The ride will take you to the most remote places inhabited in Iceland. Djúpavík used to be one of the busiest villages in Iceland, but only for a very short period. Located at the Reykjarjförður on the east coast of the West fjords, it was never an ideal site for a village or a town. in 1934. A Herring factory was built Then, in 1944 the herring stock started declining and vanished altogether in 1948. All the residents moved away, and the buildings were abandoned to rot. From Djúpavík we ride the steep coast line with spectacular senery all the way to the very end of a drive/ride able road in Ófeigsfjörður. From there,it́s only possible to walk the rest of this area. On this way we pass another abandoned herring factory that was built in 1942-1944 and closed down 1952. These abandoned factories are kind of art in a way.A perfect photographic senery with a blend of cracked concrete and rusty steel keeping lot of stories. On our return we take a bath in special pool „Krossneslaug wich is located in the rocky seashore. From the pool it ́s a return to Djúpavík where we spend the night.

Day 4 Djúpavík-Flókalundur
Today we get to test our talents, as we travel over the mountains in several places and we get to try real off road Icelandic mountain roads. We say goodbye to Djúpavík village early and keep heading Vest for further adventures. We will go on a mountain roads called Steingrímsfjarðarheiði, Kollafjarðarheiði and Þingmannaheiði which today is a trail that almost no one travels on before we arrive at the hotel, overlooking the sea with a natural pool to relax in and gather strength for the next day.

Day 5 Flókalundur-Patreksfjörður
It is simply so amazingly beautiful the view over the Breiðafjörður bay, with its hundreds of islands and islets, it is simply breathtaking. Between the mountains, you will find yourself driving narrow fjords, in and out. This ride will take you to Rauðisandur beach, all the way to Látrabjarg cliff, the westernmost point in Europe before we will end this day in a small town called Patreksfjörður where we will enjoy good food and then spend the evening in outdoor hot tubs in the next fjord.

Day 6 Patreksfjörður-Þingeyri
You will see many different fjords, even fjords within fjords, and prepare yourself,,, From mountain passes, you will have an overview of spectacular mountains and fjords, and you will also drive to the bottom of small beautiful fjords with small lakes waterfalls and rivers. At one point the most spectacular waterfall in Iceland will suddenly and almost unexpectedly grab your eye and on this day one secret of this journey will be reveled and it will be more fun for you to experience it, than read about here.

Day 7 Þingeyri – Snæfellsnes Peninsula
We will start the day with a short ride to a ferry which will take us over the bay into a famous area called Snæfellsnes Peninsula, who gave inspiration for the books like “Journey to the center of the Earth”, series like “Game of Thrones”, movies like “Secret life of Walter Mitty” and many more. Snæfellsnes is no less famous for it’s wonderful scenic spots and we will of course ride trough these places and stop to enjoy before the day is over.

Day 8 Snæfellsnes–Selfoss

From Snæfellsnes we take the old montain road (kellingaskarð,which is not official anymore) to the south part of Snæfellsnes and then we ride so called “Mýrar” a long flat area to Borgarnes.Borgarnes is a very popular place to have a short stop (tanking/eating) when travelling between south and north Iceland on F1. From Borgarnes we ride to Skorradalsvatn (lake) and over Dragháls to Hvalfjörður which was a part of F1, but now there is a undersea tunnel passing the fjord. Hvalfjörður translates to,,Whale-fjord,,because it was a common place to see whales in the early days. It is very beautiful and fun to ride, with a lot of turns. In 1948 there was built a whale cutting factory. It was closed down in 1989 and opened again in 2009 and is still active to day. Then we ride along Kjósaskarðsvegur to Þingvellir National Park and back to Selfoss where we started. Transfer to Reykjavik Hotel with Overnight in Rekjavik.


Day 9: Reykjavik – Day At Lesiure
The day at leisure for you to explore the city on your own.
Spend your last day exploring Reykjavik. Start with a walking tour of the city to see the colorful buildings, unique architecture, and landmarks such as the Hallgrimskirkja church and Harpa Concert Hall. Afterward, visit one of the many museums, such as the National Museum of Iceland or the Reykjavik Art Museum. End the day with dinner at one of Reykjavik’s many restaurants.

Day 10: Reykjavik – Departure
A goodbye breakfast as we depart for home. Transfer to airport and departure.

TOURIST VISA APPLICATION CHECKLIST
- The travel document must be valid for a minimum of three (3) months after the planned journey, issued within the previous 10 years and have at least two (2) blank pages. Provide previous old/cancelled passports – including any valid visas for Schengen or USA/UK (issued in last three years).
- Filled out online application form visa.government.is. Printed and signed by the applicant.
Filled out harmonized Schengen visa application form.
Both application forms must be submitted with the application. - One (1) passport photograph (max. 6 months old, on a white background, measuring 3.5 x 4.5 cm.)
- Travel medical insurance (insurance card is NOT sufficient) valid for all Schengen-countries. The insurance must cover the applicant for at least 30,000 Euros, for all risks e.g., accident, illness, medical emergency evacuation etc. The policy must clearly specify the period of validity and must cover the entire duration of the trip including the date of arrival & departure.
- Proof of Transportation – Flight reservation of return or round ticket. If the applicant is travelling to several Schengen States, proof of intra-Schengen flight reservation, train itinerary or car rental. Please note that the tickets do not have to be paid, only the flight booking needs to be submitted. Travel plan covering all the within Schengen area.
- Proof of accommodation – Hotel reservations, rental of holiday home or campus residence reservation. If you intend to stay with a family member or a friend, proof of sponsorship and/or private accommodation from the host. If you are travelling to several Schengen states, proof of accommodation in each of them.
- Proof of employment/sponsorship/study/retired
- Employed:
- pay slips for the last three months.
- employment contract and holiday approved/leave letter from employer
- Self-employed:
- certificate of registration of the company.
- Student:
- letter confirming enrolment in the college/university
- Sponsored:
- proof of sponsorship and a letter from the sponsor as well as copy of the sponsor’s photo ID (e.g., passport, residence permit card)
- If sponsored by spouse, please provide marriage certificate.
- Retired:
- pension statements for the last three months.
- proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business.
- Employed:
- Proof of sufficient funds
Original personal bank statement with applicant’s name showing movements in the last three months, duly stamped, and signed by the bank:- Should be provided by all applicants regardless of sponsorship.
- The account should be in the name of the applicant or the sponsor of the trip. In case of a sponsor, the bank statement should be accompanied by a signed sponsorship letter and a signed copy of the sponsor’s passport.
The statements must show that you – during the entire trip – have 4000 ISK per day for staying in a hotel or 2000 ISK per day if the expenses connected with the stay are borne by a third party. - Indian income tax return acknowledgment for the last two assessment years.
- Cover letter: introduction of applicant explaining the purpose and duration of the visit in brief and detailed day-to-day itinerary of the planned trip within the Schengen area.
- In case of minors (<18 years) traveling:
- If the minor is traveling with only one parent, written consent certified by public notary of the other parent or guardian, except in cases of a parent having sole custody or guardianship of the minor.
- If the minor travels alone (without parents), written consent, certified by a public notary of both parents or guardians having custody of the minor, in which case a court order or other proof of sole custody or guardianship must be provided.
- A photocopy of both parents’ passports. If not, copies of the photo ID card of the parents, if not applicable a photocopy of a birth certificate of the applicant and copies of the ID cards of the parents.
